TaylorMade are one of the brands who have been producing dedicated women's golf equipment for a few years now, and we saw a big improvement when we tested their Kalea Premier line a couple of years ago.
Building on this range is the new Kalea Gold, and the brand say that every piece of equipment has been designed with premium components and proven technologies for an elevated overall experience for female golfers.
In the creation of Kalea Gold, TaylorMade wanted to make sure that the input of women would be vital in the design process, so they enlisted the help of four different groups of women to provide feedback - including golf industry professionals, TaylorMade employees, panels and existing reviews.
"We decided to name this line Kalea Gold because we wanted to set the gold standard with our second premier women's line. We're building on the momentum of Kalea Premier to create a premium product line through design, technology and performance."
"The most important part of the DNA of this product is that it's designed by women, for women. Kalea Gold represents a new and fresh way of thinking about women's golf club design."

TaylorMade Kalea Gold Driver (£449)
The Kalea Gold driver uses TaylorMade's Carbonwood construction, that we first saw in the Stealth range a couple of years ago, throughout the clubhead. This design allows for more weight to be placed strategically within the head to increase energy transfer, and providing higher launch and more distance without losing out on any forgiveness.
This has also allowed for the addition of a loft sleeve, which can be moved 2 degrees up or down, and a TSS weight for precision tuning.
There are 11.5º or 13.5º heads available, and the driver comes fitted with a Kalea Gold Ultralight graphite shaft and SuperStroke Traxion Tour grip as standard.
TaylorMade Kalea Gold Fairway Wood (£249)
The fairway woods feature a wrapped carbon crown with a design that offers a confidence-inspiring contrast with the ball at address. The use of an ultralightweight carbon enhances launch conditions, speed and forgiveness.
The fairways feature existing TaylorMade technologies like the Speed Pocket and Inverted Cone face which are said to minimise the drop-offs in distance and accuracy you'd be likely to see when you don't strike it from the middle. The addition of a TSS weight also allows for optimised tuning.
The fairway wood comes in 3W (16º), 5W (20º) and 7W (24º) configurations.
TaylorMade Kalea Gold Rescue (£199)
The new Rescue has a design made specifically for women, promoting more confidence to attack the pin from the tee or on longer approach shots.
Both the Speed Pocket and Inverted Cone Technology provide an added level of forgiveness, whilst a carbon crown lowers the CG to provide added launch and spin.
Perfect as a long iron replacement, the Kalea Gold Rescue is available in 23º, 27º, 31º and 35º.
TaylorMade Kalea Gold Irons (£122 per iron)
The Kalea Gold irons use a Cap Back design which works alongside the Speed Pocket to maximise launch and forgiveness, whilst also including Echo damping technology to encourage a better sound and feel. The face has been optimised in each iron to help increase COR, producing faster ball speeds.
The toplines of the Kalea Gold irons are thinner than the previous Kalea Premier irons, to give a cleaner and sleeker look in the playing position.
They also feature stronger lofts than the Kalea Premier to improve gapping, whilst an upright lie angle also helps to produce more of a draw bias. The irons are available from 6-SW.
TaylorMade Kalea Gold Putter (£249)
The Kalea Gold uses the same construction as TaylorMade's Spider S, along with a multi-material design which increases MOI and stability for more forigveness, whilst also aiding in alignment.
The blue body, grey TruePath alignment and golf trailing edge are designed to provide contrast against both the ball and the green. The Pure Roll insert produces an improved sound and feel, while 45º grooves increase topspin to help the ball start and stay on its intended line.
The Kalea Gold range features headcovers in line with the them of the clubs, featuring a white, gold, grey and blue design. There is a choice of two different colourways in the TaylorMade Cart Lite bag - either blue and white or white and grey - which features a 14-way top and weighs just over 2kg.
For those golfers who prefer to carry the bag, the FlexTech bag offer a four-way top.
The Kalea Gold will be available at retail from 6th September, and alongside the Qi10 Women's range, will be available via custom to allow the golfer to choose a setup which best suits them.
