Titleist have had the distinction of being the most-played driver on the PGA Tour for the last five seasons, and they are looking to continue that streak with the all-new GT Drivers, set to make their debut this week at The Memorial.
The new Titleist GT2, GT3 and GT4 drivers are now arriving at what Titleist call their 'tour seeding and validation process' which will continue for the next couple of months across the worldwide professional tours, whilst the GT fairway woods will also be making their debut at this week's signature event.
“The whole [Titleist Golf Club R&D] team from top to bottom is just obsessed with making things as good as they can and they have such a deep understanding of us on the PGA TOUR and golfers in general."
"They've seen everything, and there’s no little thing that you can bring to them that isn’t fixable or something they can’t experiment with. They all have such a deep knowledge of the equipment, there's always a solution to what you’re looking for.”
Cameron Young, Titleist Brand Ambassador.
Titleist Tour Representatives will be working with players this week at the Memorial before the event starts, dialing them into the new GT models and gathering their performance feedback.
Thursday’s opening round will mark the first opportunity for players to game the new GT drivers and fairways in competition, so it will be interesting to see which golfers put them straight into the bag this week.
As always, Golfalot is the #1 destination for golf equipment news and reviews, so stay tuned for more information on these new woods as soon as we get it.
