Who? 27 year-old American Justin Thomas.
What? The 2021 Players Championship, his 14th PGA Tour victory.
Where? TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
How? Thomas fired a stunning 64-68 over the weekend to overtake Lee Westwood and Bryson DeChambeau and claim his 14th title on Tour, after a tough couple of months for the American. Thomas hit 17 of 18 greens and was near-flawless, besides a three-putt on the 14th, on a day where both DeChambeau and Westwood were inconsistent, perhaps feeling the effects of two weeks in a row in the final group on Sunday.
