How? It looked like being Jon Rahm vs Justin Thomas for the title for much of Sunday, but it was American Patrick Cantlay who was able to capitalise on errors made by the World No 2 and 3 and take the title. Cantlay's stunning final round of 65 included 9 birdies and he came from three strokes back to pick up his first win of the new season.
Following the victory, Cantlay said:
“It's just validation of all the hard work. I put in a lot of work and try to do the right things all the time, so when it all does come together, it's really rewarding because it's all that hard work paying off.”
