Who? 43 year-old Englishman Paul Casey.

What? The 2021 Dubai Desert Classic, his fifteenth European Tour victory.

Where? Majlis Course, Emirates Golf Club, Dubai.

How? Casey showed his experience on the final day with a composed final round whilst others around him faltered. Starting the day one stroke clear, a steady level par opening nine gave him a three stroke lead which he never looked like giving away on the closing holes, with an excellent par save on the 15th effectively sealing the deal.

Following the victory, Casey said:

I'm all emotional with wins, but this one is such a prestigious event. The history which is behind you, and I can see it from here with amazing winners, is basically a who's who in world golf.

I'm so over the moon. Not just 15, the fact it's Dubai. It's an iconic event on the European Tour. One of the coolest trophies around.
