Titleist have moved on from the 'Speed Project' which brought the TS metals, most recently with the TSR range, and in 2024 we see the introduction of the new GT metals, which includes both drivers and fairway woods.

Titleist GT Fairways

The new GT2 and GT3 fairway wood are designed with the same principles as the GT drivers, featuring advancements to the materials and construction to deliver better performance.

Titleist say that the two fairways are going to offer fast ball speeds, higher flight, optimal spin and longer carry, with performance both off the tee and into the green.

Both the GT2 and GT3 fairways feature new constructions, including a Seamless Thermoform Crown made from a proprietary Matrix polymer.

This maintains the classic Titleist look, with the polymer helping to maintain the classic Titleist sound and feel. This ultra light crown allows for the redistribution of extra mass, so that the CG can be optimised in each model. As a result, both models are said to give golfers a higher ball flight with similar or lower spin and faster ball speeds in both models, compared to the TSR Fairway Woods.

The clubface on the GT fairways is designed to improve performance on strikes that are low on the face. There's a new insert that wraps around the bottom of the club to maintain ball speed, eliminate excessive spin and enhance the sound and feel.

Both the GT2 and GT3 have featured adjustments to the shaping compared to the previous TSR2 and TSR3. The engineers have flattened the sole curvature from heel to toe in both models, which makes the head looks like it sits lower.

As a result, strikes from the toe and the heel hit higher on the face, adding forgiveness. The face of the GT3 is now taller, which differentiates the two models, and is designed to appeal to a wider range of players.

Titleist GT2 Fairway

The GT2 fairway is designed to offer a high flight, low spin and lots of forgiveness. It is available in five different lofts which makes it easy for golfers to achieve the correct distance gapping at the top end of the bag.

The GT2 has a shallow face, ideal for golfers with more of a sweeping delivery with their fairways.

Titleist GT3 Fairway

The GT3 fairway focuses on a more controlled flight with faster ball speed and maximum adjustability. There are three different loft options, each complete with a SureFit Adjustable CG Track System, allowing fitters to move a sliding weight track into different position to fine tune the ball flight.

Titleist GT Fairways

The GT3 has a taller face than the GT2, and this tends to be preferred by golfers who like to hit down on the ball with their fairway and prefer the look of a deeper face.

The Titleist GT Fairways are available from 23rd August at an SRP of £349, and we'll have full reviews of both products coming very soon - so stay tuned!
