Accompanying the new P7MB and P7MC irons is the P770, which features a compact, tour proven shape with a thinner topline, reduced offset in the longer irons and a shorter blade length compared to the massively popular P790.
The 2023 P770 is designed to provide golfers with more distance, forgiveness and feel in a smaller head shape.
It comes with a forged hollow body construction that TaylorMade says gives golfers the best of both worlds in both looks and performance.
A soft 8620 carbon steel head is completed with a thin forged 4140 steel face and Thru-Slot Speed Pocket to produce a design that is fast, flexible and forgiving despite the compact head shape.
One of the big new innovations is FLTD CG, a design which positions the centre of gravity lower in the head in the long irons and shifts it higher as you move through the set to the shorter irons.
With up to 46g of tungsten in each head, the FLTD CG is designed to give golfers easier launch and better playability in the long irons and more spin in the shorter scoring irons.
As seen in the 2021 P790 irons, the P770 features SpeedFoam Air. This is 69% less dense than the previous SpeedFoam, and works to dampen vibrations for a better sound and feel while keeping the face fast.

"P-Series irons need to be technical, elegant and timeless and the new P770 design has all of that in spades. We wanted to take as much performance and hide it on the inside of the iron to where you look at it and it looks like a clean and classic iron with the pearl satin chrome finish and a hint of mirror on the toe."
"On the inside, the technology we have poured into this iron creates a product that we believe is truly one of one in this space."
Matt Bovee, Director, Irons Product Creation
Available for pre-order on 6th December and at retail from 20th January, the P770 irons have an RRP of £1155 (4-PW) and come with KBS Tour Steel shafts as well as a Golf Pride Z-Grip 360 grip.
