Compared to the visually challenged i15, the Ping i20 hybrid is a sight for sore eyes. Even though the head is a very similar size and style, the matt black finish gives it a completely different look.
The i20 hybrid sits very well behind the ball at address and the straight leading edge means it is easy to align and the club gives a great sense of confidence from both the fairway and longer grass.
But it is not all about the looks as the tungsten weights on the sole give a much better sound and flight than the previous model. The square set up makes it easy to shape shots and the i20 hybrid performed very well in an understated way.
We think this is probably the best Ping hybrid since the G15 and will be ideal for the player used to fairway woods that perhaps has been turned off by the appearance of hybrids.
