Cobra are no strangers when it comes to bold designs and ideas, and their latest King Black Edition Tour irons are sure to turn a few heads.
Designed to cater to better players, the ultra-premium forged irons give you exactly the same design and technology as the standard King Tour, which places a premium on feel and shot shaping ability.
The irons feature a black DBM (Diamondised Black Metal) finish. This is Cobra's most durable, visually appealing black satin finish which diffuses sunlight to help maintain the same stealthly look over a longer period of time. One of the main criticisms of these black irons is how easily they show signs of use, but Cobra say the finish offers 'extreme resistance' to wear for longer lasting and better looking irons.
Like the chrome irons, the King Black Edition Tour irons are made from a 1025 carbon steel and use Cobra's 5-Step Forging Process. Whilst most other forged irons use a four-step process, Cobra use a fifth forging strike for a better soft feel and precise shaping.
"Cobra was on a mission to create the most durable black finish on the market. These are not just irons, they are a statement. Proof of our intent to not only create the highest performing technologies in the game, but the most visually and aesthetically pleasing."
Jose Miraflor, Cobra VP Product Architecture and Consumer Connections
